Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions - the basics
Welcome to Blue Dress Events (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rules and expectations for using our event planning services and website. By hiring us, booking our services, or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Our Services
We provide professional event planning and coordination services designed to meet each client’s unique needs. The scope of services, pricing, and deliverables are outlined in your individual proposal or service agreement. By accepting a proposal or paying an invoice, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed to the terms of that specific project.
Deposits and Payments
To reserve your event date, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid by the due date stated in your invoice or contract. Failure to submit payment on time may result in cancellation of services. All deposits and payments are final unless otherwise stated in writing.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your event or our services, written notice must be provided as soon as possible. Because we reserve time, staff, and resources for each client, deposits are non-refundable. Depending on the timing of your cancellation, additional fees may apply to cover work already completed or expenses incurred. If we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, illness, or unsafe conditions, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule or issue a partial refund at our discretion.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding your event and to cooperate with us in planning and coordination. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, permissions, or insurance required for your venue or event, unless otherwise specified in your contract. You also agree to conduct yourself and ensure that your guests, vendors, and partners behave respectfully and safely during the event.
Vendor Relationships
We may recommend or coordinate with third-party vendors such as venues, caterers, florists, and photographers. While we make every effort to select reputable vendors, we are not responsible for their actions, omissions, or performance. Any issues arising from a third-party vendor’s work should be addressed directly with that vendor.
Liability
We take great care in planning and executing each event, but we cannot guarantee that every element will proceed exactly as intended. Blue Dress Events is not liable for any damages, losses, injuries, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, vendor issues, venue restrictions, or unforeseen emergencies. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for our services.
Intellectual Property
All photos, designs, layouts, proposals, and creative materials we produce or share remain the property of Blue Dress Events unless otherwise stated in writing. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our materials for commercial purposes without our permission. We reserve the right to use non-confidential event images or materials for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
Privacy
We value your privacy and handle your personal information according to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect client data. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in that policy.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under this agreement if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, labor disputes, or equipment failures.
Governing Law
These Terms and any related disputes are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding will take place in the courts of [Your County], California.
Amendments
We may update or revise these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. By continuing to use our services, you agree to the updated Terms.
